Day 1

Bishkek to the South Shore of Issyk-Kul (280 km • ~ 6 hrs)

Meet your guide & pick up from your accommodation.
Burana Complex (11th Century): Visit the ancient Burana Minaret, the open-air balbal stone monuments, and the local history museum.

Traditional Lunch: Enjoy authentic Kyrgyz dishes, including freshly made kattama. Scenic Drive via Boom Gorge:Travel through picturesque canyon landscapes along the river. Wild Beach Stop: Pause at a quiet, undeveloped beach on the shores of Issyk-Kul Lake for a peaceful break and photo opportunities.
Continue over the scenic Kesken-Bel Pass, with sweeping views of the southern Issyk-Kul
shoreline

Eagle Hunters Experience: Visit the site of traditional eagle hunters for a Live Golden Eagle
Hunting Show. Watch an engaging Taigan (Kyrgyz hunting dog) demonstration, followed by
a hands-on archery session.

Overnight stay: Guesthouse with mountain views and panorama in Bokonbaevo. Stay in traditional yurts or wooden cottages

Day 2

South Shore Exploration and Chon Kemin (300 km ~ 7 hrs)

Continue the journey along the scenic and quieter southern shoreline of Issyk-Kul
Fairy Tale Canyon (Skazka Canyon):
Explore the surreal red-rock formations of this unique canyon—one of the most photogenic
landscapes in the region.

Barskoon Gorge: Follow the Barskoon River through dense forest and dramatic granite cliffs
Waterfall Hike & Gagarin Monument.
Take a 1–2 km hike to the Barskoon Waterfalls and visit the Gagarin Monument,
commemorating the first cosmonaut’s historic stay in the area

Optional: Kaji-Say Hot Springs. Relax in natural hot mineral pools (optional activity)
Kesken-Bel Pass: Continue over the scenic Kesken-Bel Pass, offering wide, sweeping views of
Issyk-Kul’s southern landscapes.

Drive via Balykchy & Boom Gorge: Pass the lakeside town of Balykchy and travel through the
dramatic canyon scenery of Boom Gorge.
Arrive in Chon-Kemin Valley: Settle into the peaceful village atmosphere, surrounded by
forested mountains and village ambience.

Overnight stay: Guesthouse with mountain views in Chon Kemin Valley

Day 3

Chon-Kemin Valley Activities & Return to Bishkek (170 km ~3 hours)

Peaceful Morning in the Valley
Wake up to serene mountain landscapes and the tranquil atmosphere of Chon-Kemin.
Morning Activities (Choose One):

• Hiking into the alpine forest and surrounding mountains
• Guided Horseback Riding to the mountains or along the valley river (1–2 hours)
• Horse Carriage Ride through the valley (1–2 hours)

Free Time in the Valley
Enjoy a relaxing break before departure.
Panoramic Viewpoint Stop
Pause at a scenic overlook where two alpine rivers meet in the Boom Gorge.
Lunch en Route
Enjoy lunch on the way to Bishkek.
Arrival in Bishkek
Reach the city around 4:00–5:00 PM. Drop-off at your hotel.
